Pic of The Week 25-05-2008 and the winner is.....

.... becoming more and more difficult to narrow down each week. Well over 300 images were in the running and my normal shortlist of 5 or so images was uncharacteristically stretched to 10. From there the final 3 took quite some deliberation but in the end, Touch of Magic by newcomer Tanner won the day.

This image was chosen for its simplicity and originality, the application of an unusual technique has transformed an otherwise ordinary object into something beautiful and engaing to look at, a fact I am sure will be emphasised by the poster print that Nick will receive courtesy of Photobox for his winning shot. Well done Nick and keep up the good work.

Such was the standard of images this week that honourable mentions must also go to Morpheus1870 (Khany) for his striking Rio Hustler portrait and to Sarah2209 (Sarah) still life Worn Out for its simplicity and wonderful narrative. Well done both of you.
