Landscapes
First things first I’d like to say a huge well done to everyone who has joined in on last week's project so far, there are some excellent contributions there!!
Most people who take photography seriously explore the genre of landscape photography at a very early stage in their interest; it’s one of those disciplines that allows for a great magnitude of expression without involving too much speed in capturing the moment before it passes. It is true that timing IS very important but with landscape photography you have the advantage of preparation; knowing that the scene you want to capture will be where you expect it to be, although there’s no guarantee that all the other elements will be in place, and in that lies the fun!
In this week’s project the brief is to show us what you can do with landscape photography – be it sunsets, blue skies, stormy clouds, rolling hills, snowy mountains, rivers, lakes, monoliths or which ever other choice you make from the vast number of alternatives.
If landscape photography isn’t your ‘thing’, give it a try! The great thing about the projects here on Gosnap is that they can offer a means to push you passed your normal comfort zone and offer a direction you may not have considered but may find you enjoy.
Best of luck once again everyone! I look forward once again to seeing the results!!
