Croping an image to pixel size

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
Not many images are taken Exactly as we all want them, so therefore could benefit from a slight crop, or maybes you need to resize for a forum ( EG. Gosnap having the 700max pixel restriction)This is a very easy way i have found to crop an image with set dimensions or pixel size.

first of all select the crop tool as shown below

Then across the top bar underneath the main menus type in your dimensions for your final image, whether it be inches, cm or pixels. for cm type space them cm after the number, for inches type space and in and for pixel size type space and px after the numbers.

for this image i have also set the resolution to 400 as that is what my lab uses for printing. This is personal to everyone.

for this image i have chosen 500 px by 700px, as i would for Gosnap gallery.

Draw the ants box around the required space for cropping, if it isn't quite in the right place, you can use the keyboard arrow keys to move it to the correct place.

Right click on the area and press enter to select.

you final image is now set to the correct dimensions .

Wow! I never even seen the 'size' boxes up there.

Cheers
