Photoshop: Rules of Thirds Grid

Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font
Thirds is one of the major things to get to grips with if your even half serious about photography. This doesn't mean it applies to everything, the to the majority it does.

Basically, im going to show you how to make the most of Photoshop to help you.

Step 1 - Open Photoshop!!

Self explanatory... but double click that icon!

Step 2 -

Go Edit >>> Preferences >>> Guides, Grids, Slices & Count...

Step 3 -

Copy the settings below:

Basically, Gridline every 33.33% because thats a third! andd the colour next to it is the colour the thirds will be, ive gone for a subtle colour because i don't want it to distract me from the image to much, but still be visible!

Step 4 -

Open an Image

Go File >>> Open... and choose the image you want!

Step 5 - Lets see those thirds!

Go View >>> Show >>> Grid

Heres the result!

An there we go, hope that helped! any questions don't hesitate to PM or email me! or post here, so that others can see.
